TAR HEEL –Clarkton School of Discovery scored 8 runs in the 1st inning and 10 more in the 3rd inning and defeated Tar Heel 20-4 Tuesday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball action.
The Lady Blue Devils will host Nakina Wednesday. Tar Heel will visit Bladenboro Wednesday.
Lead-off batter Zoie Durden walked twice and scored 4 runs for Clarkton. Tiekerah Tisdale hammered a triple and scored twice. Jahzara Rouse slammed a triple and scored twice. Kynzlee Wood drew 2 walks and scored 3 runs. Zariah Dill scored 3 runs, and Maddie Hall scored twice. Aniya Willis singled and scored twice. Rahniya McLean and Khloey Smith scored 1 run each.
Wood handled the pitching duties for Clarkton. Serenity Council and pitcher Abigail Dew scored 2 runs each for Tar Heel.
