Clarkton School of Discovery outscored Elizabethtown 28-15 Thursday in Bladen Five Middle School Conference softball action at Elizabethtown.
Catcher Erica McKoy walloped a double and batted a perfect 3-3 with 3 runs scored for the winners. Teammate Carleigh DeVane also batted 3-3 with 3 runs scored.
Adrian Howell finished 3-3 at the plate for Clarkton and scored 2 runs. Teammate Izzy Smith was 2-2 at the plate and scored 4 runs for the Lady Blue Devils.
Johanna Parker hammered a triple and scored 2 runs for Clarkton. Anna Kate White pitched all 4 innings to pick up the victory for CSD.
Zy’Asia Monroe slammed a double and batted a perfect 3-3 with 3 runs scored to lead the Elizabethtown hitters. Trinity, the Lady Cougar pitcher, batted 2-3.
Natalie Gainey smacked 2 hits and scored a run for Elizabethtown. Olivia scored 3 runs for the Lady Cougars.
Clarkton improves to 2-0 in the league and 5-0 overall. Elizabethtown is 1-1 in league play.
