ELIZABETHTOWN –Tabor City pulled away with a pair of 12-run innings enroute to a 31-9 Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball victory over Tabor City Wednesday.

Elizabethtown, now 0-4, will travel to West Columbus Tuesday. Tabor City improved to 2-2 on the season.

Tabor City led 7-3 after 3 innings then erupted for 12 runs in both the 4th and 5th innings. The Lady Colts capitalized on 19 walks. Quintasia slugged 2 home runs and scored 4 runs. Mileigh batted 3-for-5 and scored 4 runs, and Peighton slammed 2 doubles and scored 4 runs.

Avianna Whittington walked, Sana’a Singletary reached base on an error, and Zariyah Riddy and Kamariah Rhodie smacked singles in the Elizabethtown 1st inning. Avianna Whittington, Singletary and Riddy all scored to tie the game 3-3.

Racquel Whittington and Calleigh Smith drew walks, and Avianna Whittington and Riddy were both hit by pitches in the Elizabethtown 4th inning. All 4 of them scored.

Avianna Whittington was hit by a pitch, and Singletary belted a single in the Lady Cougar 5th inning. Both of them scored.

Racquel Whittington, Avianna Whittington, Singletary, Riddy and Rhodie connected for 1 hit each for Elizabethtown. Avianna Whittington scored 3 runs, Riddy scored twice, and Rhodie, Singletary, Smith and Racquel Whittington scored 1 run each.
