CERRO GORDO – Clarkton School of Discovery’s Lady Blue Devils ran their winning streak to 5 consecutive matches with a pair of Waccamaw Middle School Conference wins Monday night over Tar Heel and West Columbus.
The Lady Blue Devils didn’t drop a set as they won both matches 2-0. “I am so proud of these girls!” exclaimed Clarkton Coach Elizabeth Priest. “They are working so hard and it is showing. They make my heart smile for sure!”
Tar Heel dropped a 3-set decision 2-1 to Tabor City in their other match. Tar Heel, now 2-8, will visit West Columbus again Thursday to play East Columbus and West Columbus.
Clarkton improved to 6-4 with their 2 wins. The Lady Blue Devils will travel to Williams Township Thursday to play the host Lady Aggies and Tabor City.
