HALLSBORO – Elizabethtown split a pair of Waccamaw Middle School Conference volleyball matches Monday losing to East Columbus 2-0 but bouncing back to defeat Whiteville Central 2-1.

The East Columbus Lady Hawks defeated Elizabethtown by set scores of 25-17 and 25-16. Central edged Elizabethtown 26-24 in the opening set, but the Lady Cougars bounced back for a 25-23 win in the 2nd set then rolled to a 15-3 victory in the deciding set.
Coach Jessica Eason’s Lady Cougars improved to 3-5 with the victory and will travel to Nakina Thursday to play Bladenboro and Nakina.
