Willie Milliken and G.R. Smith are expected to highlight the field for Saturday’s Rattlesnake Showdown at Dublin Motor Speedway. The winner earns $3,000.

Smith finished second to Chris Ferguson two weeks ago at Dublin in the Ultimate Super Late Model Series race at Dublin after dominating the race for more than 40 laps of the 50-lap race. However, he admittedly slowed his pace because of his commanding lead, then clipped the guardrail in turn 2 and had to settle for second place.

Milliken, who has three wins this season at Dublin, finished third in the June 25 Ultimate race, and was runner-up to Scott Autry in last year’s inaugural Rattlesnake Showdown. Autry announced his retirement from racing following last year’s victory.

Races also are scheduled in Pure Stock, Super Street, Open Wheel Modifieds and U-Car.

The pit road gate will open at 4 p.m. and grandstand will open at 5 p.m. Saturday. Practice for the cars will begin at 6:30 p.m. with qualifying to follow and the races. Adult admission is $30 for the pits and $20 for the grandstands. There are discounts for military and seniors. Ages 12 and under are admitted free in the grandstands.
