The Bladen County All-Stars will begin play in the North Carolina Dixie Boys State Tournament Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Smithville Park in Southport against Kings Mountain.
If Bladen County wins Saturday, they will play Sunday at 4:30 against the Columbus County/North Granville winner. A loss Saturday would put Bladen County in an 11:30 a.m. game Sunday against the Columbus County/North Granville loser.
Dixie Boys is for Ages 13-14 years old.
Members of the Bladen County team are: Gabe Barber, Cody Butler, Zach Butler, Greyson Clark, Jake Evans, Brady Hollingsworth, Ethan Johnson, Zach Meares, Xavier McKoy, Jared Piland, Drew Sholar and Will Hester. Coaches are Warren Sholar, Kim Johnson, Anthony Meares and Chris Butler.
