And, one final note. Yesterday, Whiteville Wolfpack senior Mackenzie Gore was named the US Gatorade Player of the Year in baseball. And, retired Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood delivered the trophy to Legion Field. Remember Gore, the youngster is expected to pick up a huge signing bonus after the upcoming Major League Baseball draft.
