Bladen County Senior Center director, Amy Ruffin, is your local county volunteer coordinator, working in the SHIIP (Senior Health Insurance Information Program).
Within the short period of time that passed between October 15, 2014 and December 7, 2014, Bladen County residents saved lots of money. “I am pleased to announce that our volunteer staff helped advise Bladen County Medicare Part D clients and saved an estimated total of $39,000 this open enrollment period”, Ruffin said.
SHIIP, is a volunteer program. Bladen County Division On Aging is planning a Medicare 101 seminar later in the year. If you, (or someone you know) need any help with your Medicare Part D plan you may contact Amy Ruffin at 910-872-6330. She will be happy to help.
