Spread the love
Thoughts While ShavingEvery now and then, I reflect on the past and think I have seen and heard it all….I added a new page last night……a high school football game that ended after 11 p.m., in fact both Bladen County teams played late, very late games….all due to the weather.  Rain and thunder and lightning came shortly before the 7:30 p.m. kick-off time and it you live in the area, you more than likely know the rest of the story.  Not sure postponement was ever considered, difficult under normal conditions and even more so on Labor Day weekend….Both games were played, West Bladen lost their first game of the year after a couple of wins and East Bladen posted their 3rd win of the young season.
East Bladen has an open date next Friday and West will host St. Pauls…
Kinda strange riding through town and nearly everything closed.  Being an early riser eliminates me from much late night cruisin’…..
A reminder of the sidewalk sale underway in E-town this weekend….kinda the last fling of summer for some at White Lake and Monday government meetings are pushed back 24 hours, most will meet on Tuesday of the coming week, all due to the Labor Day Holiday….
I thank you for your comments about BladenOnline and Thoughts While Shaving….Both, from my perspective, are a labor of love….
Well…time to fire up the grill and enjoy the end of the summer season…After the “stock market crash” a hotdog may be the meal of choice.
What do you usually do on Labor Day?  As little as possible.
People don’t notice whether it’s winter or summer when they’re happy.
