Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Thoughts While ShavingWe lost a dear neighbor to Alzheimer’s over the past few days….JoAnn Howell lived across the road for about 50 years….but the last few years it has been difficult for her, her children and Roy….and her caregivers….Her family from Johnston, Wilson and Bladen counties honored her life Saturday by attending her memorial services.. RIP…

Continue to enjoy March weather…better than February.

How about the Notre Dame basketball team?  I really thought it would be Duke, Virginia, Carolina, maybe even Louisville, but Notre Dame played well and earned the trophy…Still difficult for me to believe Syracuse, Boston College, Notre Dame and all the other new teams into the conference after all the years of the original group of schools…But, all is well….I guess…

And following that topic….Limestone College girls defeated Wingate last night by a 77-66 score.  Wingate, coached by Elizabethtown’s Ann Hancock ends season play with a 22-10 record.  Limestone is 32-1 and plays Anderson College in the sweet sixteen…

Kayla Thompson, UNCW freshman golfer, has posted rounds of 78-79 in Glover Cup competition.  Thompson, a West Bladen grad, is doing well early in her college career.

Check out the upcoming events for Monday….Bladen County Commissioners meet at 6:30 p.m.

I am amazed at how many people think everyone else is suppose to bow to their every wish….All about me and I…My question is….What are you willing to do to make this a better place to live, work and play, except advise???…There are no advisor positions….looking for doers…..

The proper way to use a stress ball is to throw it at the last person who “ticked” you off..

What are you willing to do to make this work?

The deeper the pit you’re falling into, the more chance you have to learn to fly.
