Rep. Brenden’s social media page he gave an update on Wednesday. It stated, “VERIZON UPDATE:  Today an executive from Verizon met with me in my office at the legislature.  I expressed our district’s concerns regarding our lack of internet and telephone services.  The Verizon executive was not aware of the extent of our areas problems and he stated that he would look to have Verizon engineers come down and evaluate what may be causing the issue.  He also indicated that he would contact the company’s regional vice-president.  I handed him the 145 pages of concerns that folks have shared with me and said to have the VP call me on my cell phone.”

Many in Bladen, Columbus and Robeson County have made comments about the service quality of Verizon being an issue. Dropped calls, no data and other issues with the telecommunications provider has many in the tri-county area frustrated.

Rep. Brenden added in his statment, “I will continue to keep you all posted on any updates.  This is the first step in addressing this issue but I made it clear that we will no longer be kicking the can down the road.  Our folks need answers and I intend on getting to the bottom of it.”
