RED SPRINGS – East Bladen’s Lady Eagles stayed hot Tuesday sweeping Red Springs 3-0 Tuesday in Southeastern Athletic Conference action to claim their 5th consecutive victory by set scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-16.

Senior AnnaGrey Heustess pounded in 6 kills, 6 aces, a block and had 2 digs and 1 assist to lead the Lady Eagles. Senior Acee Campbell drilled in 3 aces, 4 kills and had 3 digs and 1 assist. Senior Maegan Burney slammed in 4 kills and 3 aces.

Senior Karli Priest doled out 17 assists and smacked in 2 aces for the winners. Junior Dyiamon Robinson knocked in 3 kills and a block. Senior Emma Turbeville belted in 2 kills, 2 aces and had 1 dig. Sophomore Miriam DeVane and senior Trinity Cromartie blasted in 3 kills each, and junior Karly Ross had 2 digs.

Coach Jordan Raynor’s Lady Eagles have now won 7 of their last 8 matches and have raised their record to 4-1 in SAC-7 play and 7-4 overall. East Bladen will host St. Pauls Thursday night.
