ELIZABETHTOWN- East Bladen swept Red Springs 3-0 Wednesday night in Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-15, 25-12 and 25-15.
Senior Acee Campbell hammered in 7 kills, 6 aces, distributed 4 assists and had 1 dig to lead the Lady Eagles. Senior AnnaGrey Heustess blistered the court with 9 aces and 4 kills. Senior Maegan Burney drilled in 5 aces, 4 kills and had 2 digs.
Senior Karli Priest delivered 11 assists, 3 aces and had 1 dig for the winners. Senior Trinity Cromartie smashed in 2 kills, 2 aces and had 1 dig. Senior Emma Turbeville contributed 2 aces and 2 digs.
Sophomore Miriam DeVane slammed in 2 kills and a block for East Bladen. Senior Cydney Campbell chipped in with a kill, an ace and a dig, and Karly Ross had 1 dig.
Coach Jordan Raynor’s Lady Eagles improved to 8-3 in the SAC-7 and 11-6 overall and will host St. Pauls Tuesday night in their regular season finale.
