BLADENBORO – St. Pauls defeated West Bladen 3-0 Thursday night in Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-19, 25-20 and 25-16.
Senior Emily Young led the Lady Knights with 4 service points, 2 aces, 10 attacks, 3 kills, 4 assists and 3 digs. Senior Makayla Wright pounded in 14 attacks, 5 kills, 2 blocks and 4 service points. Senior Whitney McLean smacked in 14 attacks, 4 kills and 4 service points.
Junior Jenna McLean banged in 6 service points, 2 attacks and contributed 4 assists and a dig for West. Junior Trinity Meares fired in 2 service points, 1 ace, 2 kills, 2 blocks and 3 attacks. Sophomore Marlene Crabtree knocked in 2 service points, 2 attacks, 1 kill and had 1 dig.
Junior Maddie Walters smashed in 7 attacks, 3 kills and had 1 assist for West Bladen. Sophomore Alina Chavez belted in 4 attacks, a kill and a service point. Senior Kylie Durden had 1 dig, and senior Kaitlyn Brisson had 1 attack.
The Lady Knights, now 3-8 in SAC-7 play and 5-13 overall, will close out their season at Midway Tuesday night.
