ELIZABETHTOWN – West Bladen defeated East Bladen 3-1 Tuesday night in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-23, 25-12, 15-25 and 28-26.

“This was a hard fought game,” said West Bladen Coach Gaye Davis. “My seniors wanted to finish their season with a win. The difference tonight was serves. We had some tough points down the stretch. We were down 24-18 in the fourth set, and we kept our service and tied them.”

Junior Raegan Davis blasted in 14 kills, 4 aces, 8 service points and 2 solo blocks to lead the Lady Knight attack. Senior Elizabeth Allbright drilled in 7 kills, 6 service points, an ace and a solo block.

Senior Alise Pait topped the West Bladen servers with 9 service points, an ace and 3 kills. Senior Mikayla Winebarger slammed in 6 kills, 3 aces and 3 service points. Senior Patience Parker knocked in 4 kills, 5 service points and an ace.

Sophmore Lexie Corrothers belted in 6 service points, 2 kills and an ace. Junior Caroline Davis led the West Bladen defensive effort with 10 digs and had one kill. Junior Callie Lewis hammered in 2 kills and an ace.

“I am so happy and proud of all the girls,” said Coach Davis. “The growth they have shown from August 1st until now is incredible. It was a total team effort. It took hard work from all nine girls to get the win.”

The Lady Knights finished Three Rivers Conference play with an 8-10 record.

Senior Hannah Devane delivered a 7-point service run to spark the Lady Eagles to the third set victory and finished with 11 service points. Sarah Johnson also fired in 11 service points.

Senior Kaley Smith finished with 8 service points for East Bladen, and Jozee Strickland knocked in 7 service points. Faith Johnson tallied 6 service points, and junior Ashley Hardin added 3 service points.
