DUBLIN – West Bladen defeated Union 3-1 Thursday night in the Four County Conference volleyball opener for both schools by set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 22-25 and 25-12.
“The girls played great,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “We executed well tonight.”
Senior Logan Autry smoked the gymboards with ten aces, dished out 7 assists and tallied 6 other service points and 3 kills. Senior Kathryn Schultz hammered in 8 kills, a block and a block assist.
Senior Morgan Schumacher slammed in 8 kills and 3 aces. Sophmore Raegan Davis racked up 8 assists, 7 kills, 2 blocks and 3 service points. Senior Kassidy Anderson fired in 7 kills, 4 aces and 2 service points.
Senior Laikyn Pait contributed 2 kills, a service point, a block and a block assist. Senior Jenna Dove blasted in 2 aces, a kill and a service point. Senior Kaylee Stevens pounded in 2 kills, an ace and a service point.
The Lady Knights improve to 5-2 overall and will host Wallace-Rose Hill Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
