DUNN – West Bladen’s Kiera Lewis and Greer Pope have been named to the 2023 All-Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball team.
Lewis led the Lady Knights in kills (127), attacks (388) and blocks (54). The tall senior fired in 96 service points and 10 aces.
Top performances for Lewis included: 30 attacks, 12 kills at Clinton; 30 attacks, 10 kills, 9 service points versus St. Pauls; 26 attacks, 13 kills, 11 service points at Lakewood and 25 attacks, 11 service points, 9 kills at East Bladen.
Pope topped West Bladen with 171 service points, 37 aces and 228 assists. The talented freshman banged in 97 attacks, 30 kills and was credited with 11 digs.
Top performances for Pope included: 23 service points and 17 assists at Red Springs; 24 assists at Lakewood; 23 assists vs. St. Pauls; 20 assists at Clinton; 18 assists, 11 service points at Fairmont; 18 service points at West Columbus; 15 assists and 10 service points vs. Fairmont; 15 service points at East Bladen.
Midway’s McKenzie Williams was voted Player of the Year and Midway’s Susan Clark was Coach of the Year.
