BLADENBORO – Seniors Josh Henderson and Jeyvian Tatum and junior Cameron Revels combined for 42 points Thursday to lead St. Pauls to a 64-45 Southeastern Athletic Conference boys’ basketball victory over West Bladen.

Henderson topped the Bulldog scoring with 16 points. Revels was right behind him with 14 points, and Tatum totaled 12 points. Senior Shaun Emanuel added 8 points for the visitors.

Junior Gary Parker pumped in 12 points to lead the Knights. Sophomore Malachi Allen racked up 10 points, and freshman Hezekiah Adams and senior Javonta Matthews finished with 8 points each.

Parker drilled in a 3-point shot and another basket to start the game for West. Allen buried a 3-point shot, and freshman Chase Williams dropped in a basket. However, Henderson and Emanuel threw in 2 baskets each as St. Pauls built a 14-10 lead.

Matthews powered inside for a pair of Knight baskets in the 2nd quarter, Parker completed an old fashioned 3-point play, and Allen nailed a 3-point shot. Tatum and Henderson tallied 4 points each as the St. Pauls halftime lead grew to 27-20.

Allen bombed in a 3-ball and another basket after intermission, and Adams popped in a pair of hoops to keep the Knights within 34-29. However 6 points from Henderson keyed a 10-2 Bulldog run that opened up a 44-31 lead at the quarter break.

The Knights trimmed the margin to 44-35 early in the final period, but Revels, Henderson and Tatum combined for 18 points as St. Pauls pulled away with a 20-10 closing run. Adams threw in a pair of baskets in the final period for West, and Parker contributed a basket and 2 free throws.

The Knights, now 8-8, will host East Bladen Monday night.
