PEMBROKE – Freshman Jonah Bryan fired in a pair of 2nd half goals as West Bladen’s Knights posted their 3rd straight boys soccer win 2-0 over Purnell Swett Tuesday night.

“It’s like an appetizer,” said Knight Coach Kristen Parker about her team’s 3-0 record. “It’s a nice start.”

Senior William Verdugo-Gomez and freshman Jonathan Ortiz-Hernandez assisted on the 2 West Bladen goals. Sophomore Kevyn De La Cruz Labra led the Knight attack with 6 shots on goal, and Verdugo-Gomez had 3 shots on goal.

Junior Oswaldo Gonzalez-Lopez and sophomore Cade Allen teamed up to record the shutout in goal for the Knights. Gonzalez-Lopez manned the goal in the opening half, and Allen was credited with 6 saves in goal in the 2nd half.

The Knights will host South Columbus Monday at 6 p.m.
