ST PAULS – East Bladen’s Eagles won their fifth consecutive match Monday with a 6-3 Three Rivers Conference boys tennis victory over St. Pauls.

“It was a big win and avenged an earlier loss,” said Eagle Coach Terry Smith. “This should put us in a three-way tie for second-place.”

Singles:
Jay McGill (EB) defeated Israel Gonzalez (SP) 6-3, 6-4
Jackson Bostic (EB) defeated Joel Martinez (SP) 6-4, 6-3
Jake Evans (EB) defeated Victor Carisosa (SP) 7-5, 6-3
David Estrada (SP) defeated Will Hester (EB) 7-5, 6-3
Colin Hill (EB) defeated Jose Garcia (SP) 7-5, 7-5
Johnathan Cabrera (SP) defeated Garrett Melvin (EB) 6-4, 6-4

Doubles:
McGill/Evans (EB) defeated Gonzalez/Carisosa (SP) 8-5
Bostic/Hester (EB) defeated Martinez/Cabrera (SP) 8-4
Estrada/Garcia defeated Melvin/Hoyt Register (EB) 8-5

The Eagles improved to 9-3 and will host East Columbus Wednesday.
