ELIZABETHTOWN – Clarkton School of Discovery’s Karli Priest pitched a no-hitter with 13 strike-outs Thursday in a middle school softball scrimmage.
Priest walked a batter, hit a batter and four batters reached base on errors. At the plate Priest slugged a 2-run first-inning home run, batted 2-3 and scored 3 runs.
Clarkton shortstop Addie Bowen walloped a 2-run sixth-inning home run, batted 2-4 and scored 3 runs. Thirdbaseman Mariah Smith also finished 2-4 at the plate with a double and 2 runs scored.
Catcher AnnaGrey Heustess batted 2-4 with 2 runs scored for the Lady Blue Devils. Teammate Emma Turbeville slammed a double, and firstbaseman Shy’Asia Ratliff singled and scored twice. Dyiamon Robinson added a hit and a run scored for Clarkton.
Alyssa Strickland and Lauren scored runs for Elizabethtown.
