BURGAW – Mikayla Boykin was credited with a quadruple-double of 26 points, 10 assists, 10 steals and 12 rebounds Wednesday night as top-seeded Clinton defeated West Bladen 76-47 in the Four County Conference Girls Basketball Tournament semi-finals.

It was the second quadruple-double of the season for Boykin who is headed to Duke University next season.

Sophmore Ashlyn Williams rang up 20 points, and junior Alex Canady followed with 18 points for the Lady Dark Horses who advanced to the title game.

Williams and Canady pumped in 8 points each, and Boykin added 6 as Clinton built an early 22-11 lead.

Center Jerena Purdie powered in 2 baskets and a free throw for West Bladen in the first quarter. Senior Laikyn Pait tossed in a basket and a free throw, senior Akira Grimes added a basket and junior Patience Parker hit a free throw.

Williams and Boykin tallied 8 points each in the second quarter as the Lady Dark Horses stretched their lead to 48-25 at halftime.

Indiyah Williams dropped in a pair of baskets, and Pait sank a basket and 2 free throws in the Lady Knights second quarter. Seniors Logan Autry, Jenna Dove and Purdie threw in a basket each for West.

Boykin and Canady scored 6 points each in the third quarter as the margin grew to 66-38.

Pait drained a 3-point shot and another basket for West Bladen in the third quarter. Purdie, Autry, Dove and Parker connected for one basket each in the period.

Junior Elizabeth Allbright battled inside for a basket and 2 free throws for West Bladen in the final period. Indiyah Williams and Pait contributed a basket each, and Autry hit a free throw.

Pait led the Lady Knights with 14 points. Purdie followed with 9 points, and Indiyah Williams finished with 6 points. Autry totaled 5 points.
