CERRO GORDO – Senior Rylee Chadwick poured in 19 points Friday night to lead West Bladen’s Lady Knights to a 60-16 non-conference girls basketball victory over West Columbus.

Junior Megan Pait and Chadwick threw in buckets, and junior Brookee Singletary sank 2 free throws as the Lady Knights built a 6-2 1st period lead.

Chadwick caught fire in the 2nd quarter blistering the nets with 4 baskets plus a 3-point bomb. Freshman Kali Allen nailed a 3-point shot, and senior Lainey Autry pumped in a basket as the West Bladen halftime lead grew to 22-7.

Lady Knight junior Kiera Lewis lit up the scoreboard with a 3-point shot, 2 more baskets and a free throw in the 3rd quarter. Chadwick popped in a trio of baskets, and Allen, Pait and senior Kirsten Warrick buried 3-point shots. Autry and Singletary added baskets as the lead swelled to 49-17.

Pait splashed in another 3-ball and 2 free throws in the final period. Singletary, Allen and freshman Jahyrah Priest tossed in a basket each.

Pait finished with 10 points for West Bladen. Lewis and Allen tallied 8 points each. Singletary followed with 6 points, and Autry tallied 4. Kimel Lennon led the Lady Vikings with 8 points.

It was the 5th straight win for Coach Brian McCleney’s Lady Knights, now 5-1. West Bladen will open Southeastern Athletic Conference play Friday night at Clinton.
