CLINTON – Clinton raced to an 8-0 1st half lead and defeated West Bladen 9-0 Tuesday night in the Southeastern Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
Sophomore Yuridia Santana-Dominguez sparked the Lady Knight defense with 5 steals. Seniors Kaden Thurman and Eva Ayala-Martinez, junior Shamaria Jackson, and sophomores Haileigh Seabolt and Ashley Sanchez-Resendiz all were credited with 4 steals each.
Sophomore Jazmy Funez Aranda had 9 saves in goal for the Lady Knights.
West Bladen, now 2-3, will travel to North Brunswick Thursday night.
