ELIZABETHTOWN – Midway’s Raiders won their 7th Southeastern Athletic Conference golf match of the season Monday posting a 313 total at Vineyard Golf at White Lake. Clinton carded a 339 total to finish ahead of 3rd place West Bladen (352).
East Bladen was 4th with a 367 total followed Fairmont’s 394. Red Springs only had 3 golfers complete their rounds and did not record a team score.
Midway’s Logan Atkins fired a 69 to cop medalist honors for the 6th time in 7 matches this season. Clinton’s Finn Howard took 2nd place with a 77 that barely edged out East Bladen’s Chase Knight who blistered the back-nine with a 36 and captured 3rd place with a round of 78.
Nolan Sessoms’ 86 was the best West Bladen score and was good enough for 10th place. Other scores for the Knights were: Daniel Gustafson (88), Trenton Meares (89), Colin Britt (89) and Isaac Mendoza (90).
Other East Bladen scores included: Caleb Scruggins (92), Bailey Williams (98), Tony Todd (99) and Conner Smith (101).
The next Southeastern Athletic Conference match will be Monday at River Landing in Wallace.
