ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen rallied with a 26-12 second half surge that propelled the Eagles to a 40-28 non-conference jayvee boys basketball victory over Cape Fear.

Freshman Majuan McKoy threw in 6 first-half points to keep the Eagles within 16-14 at halftime.

Freshman Jordan Robinson and Anthony Wooten bombed in 3-point shots in the third period to key a 14-5 spurt that vaulted East Bladen into a 28-21 lead. Center Robbie Cooley worked inside for a pair of buckets in the quarter.

Majuan McKoy netted 6 points in the fourth quarter and led the Eagles with 12 points. Wooten pumped in 9 points, and sophomore Pierce Melvin, Cooley and Byron Bowen added 4 points each.

Coach Greg High’s Eagles improved to 7-4 on the season and will host Union Friday at 4:30.
