Sadique Ingram pumped in 7 of his team-high 11 points during a 17-6 second quarter spurt that propelled East Bladen to a 24-14 halftime lead and eventual 43-33 Four County Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over visiting West Bladen Thursday night.
Guard Jaheim Lesane buried a 3-point shot in the opening quarter, and teammate Drew Harris dropped in a basket and a free throw as West Bladen took an 8-7 first quarter lead. Eddie Perez sank 2 free throws for West in the period.
Darrell Banks bombed in a 3-point shot for the Eagles in the first quarter, and Xavier Wooten added a basket. Shawn Marshall and Messiah Leach made free throws for East in the period.
Ingram drained a 3-point shot and 2 more baskets in the second period. Leach nailed a 3-point shot, and Banks, Xavier Wooten and Anthony Wooten threw in baskets in the quarter for East.
Freshman Kerron Washington, Jason Moore and Nhyki Richardson scored baskets for West Bladen in the quarter.
The Knights rallied in the third quarter and trimmed the East lead to 33-28 as Richardson and Harris dropped in two baskets each, and Washington, Lesane and Irvin Hernandez added one basket each.
Xavier Wooten tossed in a basket and a free throw for East in the quarter, and Zaire Turner-Dobson, Anthony Wooten and Ingram tallied one basket each.
Leach led a 10-5 Eagle closing run with 2 baskets, and Marshall sank a basket and a free throw. Ingram and Turner-Dobson scored a basket each.
Richardson pumped in 2 baskets for West in the quarter, and Hernandez tacked on a free throw.
Leach finished with 8 points for East Bladen, and Xavier Wooten followed with 7 points. Banks had 5 points.
Richardson topped the Knight scoring with 10 points, and Harris followed with 7 points. Lesane tallied 5 points.
