BLADENBORO – Noah Hall poured in 15 of his game-high 17 points in the 2nd half as West Bladen’s jayvee boys rode a 26-11 closing surge to a 44-24 non-conference basketball victory over West Columbus Friday.

The Knights led 18-13 at halftime when Hall drilled in a 3-point shot and a trio of free throws in the 3rd period. Walker Barkley, Andre Moore and Conner Monroe drove for baskets as the Knights opened up a 31- 20 lead.

Hall pumped in 4 baskets and a free throw in the final quarter, and Moore and Demontre Love added baskets during a 13-4 closing run for the Knights.

Cade Allen tossed in 7 points for the Knights, and Moore finished with 6 points. Love, Monroe and Cornelius Esters scored 4 points each. Thirston Freeman led West Columbus with 13 points.

Allen threw in a trio of baskets and a free throw in the 1st half before leaving with an injury. Esters drained a 3-ball, and Monroe, Hall and Alan Breakfield dropped in baskets as the Knights grabbed an early 14-6 lead.

Coach Matt Hill’s Knights improved to 1-3 and will visit Whiteville Monday.
