BEULAVILLE – Sophomore Heidi Rebollar fired in a ‘Hat Trick’ of 3 goals Monday to lead East Bladen to a 3-2 non-conference jayvee girls soccer victory over East Duplin.

Rebollar opened the scoring with a goal 22:40 before halftime. Twelve minutes later Rebollar chipped a shot over the keeper and into the goal from 15 yards out to push the lead to 2-0 at halftime.

In the 4th minute of the 2nd half, Rebollar converted a corner kick into her 3rd goal that extended the lead to 3-0. East Duplin scored 2 goals in the final 4 minutes of the game to whittle the final margin to 3-2.

Sophomore Reese Hester played the 1st half in goal for the Lady Eagles and was credited with 4 saves. Junior Ashlyn Williams manned the keeper role in the 2nd half and had 2 saves.

East Bladen outshot the Lady Panthers 7-2 in the 1st half and held a 13-11 advantage in shots for the game.

The Lady Eagle jayvees will travel to Pender Wednesday for a 4:30 match.
