BLADENBORO – Allison Hickman pitched a 3-inning no-hitter and struck out 8 batters to lead Bladenboro to an 18-3 Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball victory Monday over Tabor City.

Hickman also blasted a triple to centerfield in the 4th inning for the only Bladenboro hit. The Lady Bulldogs capitalized on 25 walks that were issued by Tabor City pitching. Hickman walked only 5 batters.

Jaylin Clark, Kali Allen, Karlie Gause, Morgan Moore and Makenna Thurman drew 3 walks each for the winners. Natalee Sykes, Leea Wilkins, Addison Wilcox and Hickman drew 2 walks each. Abbie Hickman and Ashley Rivon walked 1 time each for Bladenboro.

Hickman and Clark scored 3 runs each for the Lady Bulldogs. Sykes, Wilcox, Gause, Moore and Thurman scored 2 runs each. Wilkins and Allen scored 1 run each.

Coach Otis Evans’ Lady Bulldogs, now 1-0, will host Williams Township Wednesday.
