Winning pitcher Meagan Brady walloped a home run and batted a perfect 5-5 to lead West Bladen to an 18-13 non-conference jayvee softball victory over visiting South Brunswick Tuesday night.

Brady also finished with 2 runs batted in. She went the distance in the circle, strking out 3 and giving up 9 hits, 18 walks and 3 hit batters.

“They showed up with 6 varsity players,” said Lady Knight Coach Joe Lewis. “Our defense played great, but we struggled with our control.”

At the plate West Bladen batted 19 for 36 as a team with 8 walks. Brittany Landreth knocked in 4 runs with a 3-5 performance at the plate. Teammate Katie Ezzell hammered a triple and batted 3-4 with an RBI.

Indiyah Williams turned in a 2-4 day at the plate and drove in 2 runs. Teammate Elizabeth Allbright batted 2-5 with 2 RBI’s. Abby Dawson was 2-4 at the plate for West.

Anna Moser slugged an RBI triple, and Alise Pait drove in 2 runs with a single.

The Lady Knights remained unbeaten at 4-0 and will travel to Teachey Friday for a 4 p.m. game against Wallace-Rose Hill.
