ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen exploded for ten first-inning runs en route to an 18-5 Three Rivers Conference jayvee softball victory Friday over West Bladen.

Lexie Guy walked, and Nesiah Davis-McKoy knocked her in with a single to begin the Lady Eagle first inning. Jordan Kinlaw belted a single to left-centerfield that scored Davis-McKoy, and Majesti Corbett yanked a single to left that plated Kinlaw.

Carlie West walked, and Adriene Howell’s single scored Corbett, and Alyann Gregg’s single plated West. Grey Guy walked, and Lexie Guy walloped a grand-slam home run. Davis-McKoy walked, and Kinlaw slammed a double to drive her in.

Summer Addington walked to begin the Lady Knight second inning. Ryleigh Bailey smacked a single that scored Addington, and Tinyauh Rhoda and Amelia Brisson drew walks. Brisson’s walk forced home Bailey.

Armani Cowan cracked a single that scored Rhoda and Brisson, and Kaitlynn Tatum hammered a double that scored Cowan and trimmed the East lead to 10-5.

The Lady Eagles answered with a run in the home second. Howell reached on an error and eventually scored to pad the lead to 11-5.

In the East Bladen third inning, Kinlaw and West were hit by pitches, and Corbett walked. Lila McDuffie walked to force home Kinlaw. Gregg laced a single that scored Corbett and an error on the play plated West and McDuffie.

Grey Guy was hit by a pitch, and Lexie Guy and Davis-McKoy walked to force home Gregg. Kinlaw knocked in Grey Guy and Lexie Guy with the final two East Bladen runs.

Kinlaw led the East Bladen hitters with a 3-3 game that included a double, 4 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Lexie Guy slugged the grand-slam home run and scored 3 times. Davis-McKoy, Corbett, Howell, and Gregg added one hit each.

Davis-McKoy and Gregg drove in 2 runs each. Corbett and Howell drove in one run each. Davis-McKoy, Corbett, West, Howell, Gregg and Grey Guy scored 2 runs each, and McDuffie scored one.

Tatum doubled in a run to lead the West Bladen hitters. Cowan and Bailey connected for the other Lady Knight hits. Cowan drove in 2 runs, and Bailey and Brisson drove in one run each. Bailey, Cowan, Addington, Rhoda and Brisson scored one run each.

Kinlaw pitched a 3-hitter, struck out seven and walked four to pick up the win for the Lady Eagles.
