BLADENBORO – Sophomore Kayleigh Martin pitched a 3-hitter and struck out 15 batters to lead Lumberton to an 11-0 non-conference jayvee softball victory over West Bladen Monday.
Destiny Wydra slammed a double and batted 2-for-4 to lead the Lady Pirate hitters. Emma Jones, Kaela Ortt and Abbie Mayers all finished 2-for-4 at the plate, and Tiara Stuck belted a double.
Hannah Richardson batted 2-for-3 to lead the Lady Knight hitters, and Violet Allen smashed a double. Brookee Singletary, Megan Pait, Briley Stanley, Olivia Allen and Kylie Duffle all drew walks for West Bladen.
The Lady Knights are now 4-4-1 on the season and will host St. Pauls Thursday at 4 p.m.
