CHARLOTTE – Former East Bladen star Maya McDonald who led Cape Fear Community College to the South Atlantic District/Region X Women’s Soccer Championship has been named a NJCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Honorable Mention All-American.
McDonald poured in 4 goals In the South Atlantic/Region X championship game to lead her Cape Fear Community College Sea Devils to a 5-3 victory that earned them a berth in the NJCAA Division National tournament.
For the season McDonald, a talented freshman, fired in 28 goals in 14 games and dished out 6 assists. She was selected as the NJCAA DII Player of the Week on 2 occasions.
