CARY – East Bladen soccer star Maya McDonald played 2 games for the bronze medal winning East team in the Body Armour State Games in Cary Sunday.
McDonald scored 2 goals and dished out an assist in her 2 games after running in the Mid East Regional track meet for East Bladen on Saturday.
Eagle Coach Jay Raynor ran the event as the competition manager overseeing the logistics and all aspects of the high school showcase event.
The games were held at Wake Med Soccer Park. The bronze medal game was moved to Wake Competition Center due to the weather.
