ELIZABETHTOWN – Harrells Christian capitalized on walks and errors to score 7 runs in the 3rd inning and defeat Emereau Bladen 8-4 Thursday in non-conference middle school baseball action.
Three walks, 2 hit batters, a passed 3rd strike, 2 errors and 1 hit produced the 7 3rd inning runs. The Crusaders added a run in the 5th on a hit, a fielder’s choice and an error.
The Aviators scored 4 times in the home half of the 3rd on singles by Cooper Long, Tyler Eason, Jayce Hatcher, Cade Rogers and Stryker Pait. Long, Eason, Hatcher and Rogers all scored runs. Rogers allowed only 2 hits, 5 walks and 2 hit batters while striking out 12 on the mound for Emereau.
The Aviators will host Tar Heel Monday at County Park.
