LAKE WACCAMAW – Braylon Waddell threw in 11 of his game-high 13 points in the 1st half as East Columbus built a 17-6 lead en route to a 28-14 Waccamaw Middle School Conference ‘AA’ Division boys’ basketball victory over Tar Heel Tuesday night.

Keon Whittington and Cedrick McKiver tossed in 1st half baskets for the Panthers, and Demarius Guions sank 2 free throws. McKiver netted a free throw in the 3rd quarter, and Whittington and Shyron Thompson fired in baskets in the final period. Dylan McLaurin made 2 free throws, and Jordan King hit one.

Whittington led the Panthers with 4 points, and McKiver followed with 3 points. S. Spears followed Waddell on the Hawk scoring list with 6 points.

The Panthers, now 0-3 in league play and 0-5 overall, will visit Clarkton Wednesday.
