TABOR CITY– Chris Cromartie knocked in a goal in each half to lead Clarkton School of Discovery to a 5-0 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ soccer victory over Tabor City Monday in the season opener for both teams.
Cromartie’s 1st goal gave the Blue Devils the early lead, and Izaac Elkins drilled in a penalty kick to pad the Clarkton lead to 2-0 at halftime.
Keyshawn Kemp posted the next Blue Devil goal, before Cromartie banged in his 2nd goal to grow the lead to 4-0. Clayton Moore fired in the final Clarkton goal.
Coach Robert Mazur’s Blue Devils will travel to Nakina Wednesday for a 3:45 game.
