CLARKTON – Nakina edged Clarkton School of Discovery 2-1 Tuesday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ soccer action.
The Mustangs scored at the 10-minute mark in the opening half, but Chris Cromartie fired in a goal 5 minutes later for Clarkton to tie the score 1-1.
Five minutes into the 2nd half a Nakina shot scooted off the goalie for the go-ahead goal. The Mustangs had another chance with a penalty kick 12 minutes later but couldn’t convert.
The Blue Devils, now 5-2, will host West Columbus Thursday.
