LAURINBURG – Molly Wright threw in 8 of her game-high 10 points during a 10-3 2nd quarter spurt that propelled Christ the Cornerstone to a 20-15 middle school girls basketball victory over Emereau Bladen Thursday.
Vera Valentiner fired in 7 of her team-high 8 points for Emereau in the 2nd half. Anna Robinson tossed in a basket in each half and finished with 4 points for the Lady Aviators. Teammate Bristol Allen pumped in a 3rd quarter basket, and Keri Faye Burgess sank a free throw in the final period.
The Lady Aviators will host Riverside Monday.
