TARBORO – Working its way through the loser’s bracket after a tough loss in the opening round, the Bladen County 10U softball team made it to the championship game of the State Activities Committee state tournament before losing to unbeaten Randolph County 7-5 on Sunday afternoon.

Along the way, Bladen County avenged a 1-0 opening round loss Saturday to Henderson-Vance by capturing a 4-3 decision against Henderson-Vance in Saturday night’s semifinal. Bladen County also beat Nash County 12-4 on Saturday.
