Thoughts While ShavingOne final reminder of the Bladen County Committee of 100 annual meeting and dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. today.  The meeting will be held at the Powell-Melvin Ag Center located at 450 Smith Circle Drive in Elizabethtown.  Bladen County businessmen David Clark and Mac Campbell will discuss the past, present and future of economic development in the county.  Call Bladen County EDC for details for the event….

Been thinking about how the US 701 & NC 87 bypass upgrade will effect travelers…They can just go through the county faster….especially those on 87….
Some in Bladen received rainfall yesterday, as well as high winds.  Trees were down in the Bladenboro area and south of Clarkton….We need rain, countywide….maybe today…
Questions related to new principal at East Bladen…haven’t heard….If they are waiting for $’s from the state, may take a while…..The legislative delay is a problem, but not likely the problem with the naming of a new principal…
Anyone think we need more government intervention???  The more I hear, the more concerned I get…from the highest level down…
