LUMBER BRIDGE – A familiar theme ensued again Monday in the Three Rivers Conference golf match at Scothurst Golf Club. South Columbus won their third consecutive match, and West Bladen was second for the third week in a row.

South Columbus’ Caleb Click copped medalist honors with a 78, and teammate Jonathan Williams was second with an 85. West Bladen’s Chad Garner placed sixth with an 89, and teammate Wyatt Bordeaux was eighth with a 96.

With four golfers finishing seventh or better, South Columbus won the match with a 341 total. West Bladen took second place with a 388 followed by West Columbus with a 397. East Bladen was fourth with a 419 total.

The remaining teams competing were: Red Springs (455), St. Pauls (456), and Whiteville (461). Fairmont only brought three golfers and South Robeson only brought two so neither team could not compete in the team competition.

Other West Bladen golfers competing: John Brust (100), Devin Smith (103) and Jared Storms (114).

Jason Baxter and Alex Avellaende shared scoring honors for East Bladen with identical 102 scores. Chance Hester (105) and Nick Norris (110) were the other Eagle golfers.

The next Three Rivers match will be Monday at Land O Lakes.
