East Bladen’s Lady Eagles battled back from a narrow opening game loss to claim a 3-1 non-conference volleyball victory at East Columbus Tuesday night by game scores of 26-28, 25-23, 25-19 and 25-19.
Senior Miller Heustess keyed the Lady Eagle victory with 23 assists, 16 service points, 2 kills and an ace. Senior Lacey Suggs hammered in 8 kills, 5 aces, 15 service points and a block.
Junior Lexie Mendell slammed in 13 kills, and 4 service points for the winners. Senior Abby Ward delivered 8 service points, and senior Claire Campbell filled the stat sheet with 6 service points, 4 kills, 2 aces and an assist.
Junior Alexa Hernandez contributed 3 service points and 2 aces to the East Bladen offense, and sophomore Hannah DeVane added 3 service points and 2 kills.
Coach Jennifer Hair’s Lady Eagles evened their record at 3-3 and open Four County Conference play at Midway Thursday.
