ORLANDO, Fla. – Elizabethtown’s Cade Hancock and his Mount Olive Trojans finished 3rd in the McDonough Cup that concluded Tuesday at Rio Pinar Country Club.

Hancock fired rounds of 69, 72 and 71 to tie for 7th place and finish only 4 shots behind tournament champion Javier Calles of Nova Southeastern. Nova Southeastern captured the team title with an 848 total. Mount Olive carded an 859 to claim 3rd place.

Earlier this season the Trojans won the Donald Ross Intercollegiate at Morganton, NC, recording a school record total of 848 strokes. Hancock tied for 9th place with a 3-over-par 213 total. Senior teammate Brice Ballin won the individual tournament with a 5-under-par 205.
