BLADENBORO Senior Jashontae Harris fired in 12 of her game-high 19 points in the opening quarter as St. Pauls raced to an 18-2 lead enroute to a 68-29 Southeastern Athletic Conference girls’ basketball victory over West Bladen Tuesday night.

Sophomore Zhariana Shipman poured in 9 of her 13 points for the Lady Bulldogs before halftime as the lead grew to 38-13. Teammates Ava Monroe and Zakorey Davis finished with 8 points each, and Zalaya Garner added 7.

Sophomore Kali Allen buried a pair of 3-point shots in the 2nd period for West Bladen after netting 2 free throws in the opening quarter. Allen added a 4th quarter basket and led the Lady Knights with 10 points.

Senior Kiera Lewis drained a 3-point shot, 2 free throws and 2 other baskets to total 9 points for the Lady Knights. Junior Alina Chavez worked inside for 2 baskets, and junior Holland Davis popped in a basket and 2 free throws. Chavez and Davis finished with 4 points each. Sophomore Natalee Sykes tossed in a 3rd quarter basket for West.

West Bladen is 0-3 in conference play and 4-8 overall. The Knights will host SAC co-leader Fairmont on Friday.
