BLADENBORO – Yoshua McBryde pumped in 14 points to lead St. Pauls to a 38-24 Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee boys’ basketball victory over West Bladen Tuesday night.
Brandon Baldwin followed with 8 points, and Antwan McKoy netted 7 points for the Bulldogs who led 17-9 at halftime.
Keonta Hill bombed in a 3-point shot and another basket, and JaQuan Lesane netted a basket in the opening period for West. Teammate Damarion Bryant sank 2 foul shots in the 2nd quarter.
Sayvion Covington buried a 3-point shot, and Hill threw in a basket and a free throw for West in the 3rd period. Lesane added a basket to keep the Knights within 28-17.
Hill nailed another 3-point shot in the final quarter and topped the West scoring with 11 points. Bryant and Jamari Adams popped in a basket each for the Knights. Bryant and Lesane followed Hill on the West scoring list with 4 points each.
It was the first SAC loss for the Knights, who are now 2-1 in the league and 5-6 overall. West Bladen will entertain Fairmont Friday.
