WHITEVILLE – Midway’s Raiders won their 6th Southeastern Athletic Conference golf match of the season Monday posting a 313 total at Land O Lakes Golf Course. West Bladen took 2nd place with a 359 total that was 8 strokes better than 3rd place Clinton.
East Bladen was 4th with a 380 total followed by Red Springs (403) and Fairmont (408).
After earning 5-straight medalist honors, the Raiders’ Logan Atkins was edged out of the top spot by teammate Kaison Marley who carded a 73 that was 1 shot better than Atkins’ 74.
West Bladen’s Daniel Gustafson took 5th place with an 86. Teammate Isaac Mendoza, East Bladen’s Bailey Williams and Red Springs’ Brezlynn Locklear all tied for 8th place with 90s.
Other West Bladen results were: Colin Britt (91), Trenton Meares (92) and Nolan Sessoms (93). Other East Bladen scores were: Chase Knight (91), Caleb Scruggins (94), Conner Smith (105) and Tony Todd (122).
After the Easter Break, East Bladen will host the next SAC-7 match on April 17 at Vineyard Golf at White Lake.
