DUNN — Damarion Bryant, Keonta Hill and JaQuan Lesane combined for 43 points and bombed in eight 3-point shots to lead West Bladen to a 54-40 Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over Midway Friday.

Bryant and Hill shared Knight scoring honors with 15 points each, and Lesane was right behind them with 13 points. Justin Spaulding totaled 5 points, and Jamari Adams added 4.

Hill lit up the scoreboard with a 3-point basket, 2 other baskets and a free throw in the 1st period. Bryant nailed a 3-point shot, and Adams netted a basket as West jumped in front 13-9. Bryant, Lesane and Hill all connected on 3-point shots in the 2nd quarter to keep West up 22-20.

Spaulding keyed an 18-8 3rd quarter spurt with 2 baskets and a free throw. Bryant drained a 3-point shot and another basket. Hill pumped in 2 baskets, and Lesane and Ayden Williams added a basket each as West opened up a 40-28 lead.

Lesane blistered the nets with a pair of 3-pointers and another basket in the final period. Bryant threw in a pair of baskets, and Adams tacked on a basket as West padded the final margin.

Harry Johnson topped the Midway scoring with 12 points. Colin Woods followed with 11 points, and Camden Wilson tallied 9.

Coach Joe Harris’ Knights improved to 2-0 in the SAC and 5-5 overall and will host St. Pauls Tuesday.
